How can one diagnose an anal fissure?
Your physician will examine and converse with you. It may be necessary for your doctor to check the region and potentially even peek inside your rectum and anus. One way to accomplish this is to put a gloved finger inside the anus. To check the area, your doctor might also use a tiny device called an anoscope. Your doctor could suggest seeing a specialist if the reason behind the bleeding or pain is unclear.

1. blood appears on your toilet paper and in your stool
2. when you go to the bathroom, it hurts.
